If they turn him down, he will probably sell his shares, watch the stock tank, then buy it for half the price. Wins either way.
This is probably what will happen.

Or, he bought 9% or whatever, they invited him to the board and told him it would be an honorary position and he would have no control.

He makes an offer to buy the company above the share price, assuming they will turn it down in private, unloads his 9% (which he already stated he would), walks away with a cool few hundred extra million for the exposure and the stock craters after it becomes public.

It sounds like he wants out.

He should've made the offer 1st, kinda whiffed himself.

He will go down as the guy who can manipulate the stock market all by himself and skirt the SEC rules (for the most part).

Exactly. When the fines are substantially less than your gains, why wouldn't you continue to do what you do.

He doesn't actually want to buy Twitter. Just using it as another one of his pump and dump plays.

Problem is those idiots would say no just to spite him. Hes a smart dude and I have gained a lot of respect for the man.

He can keep his electric cars to himself, thanks, but I definitely have enjoyed his presence in the world.

That's exactly what he's doing. Either sell it to him and gut the top brass or he obliterates their stock. His letter to the Twitter chairman was absolutely brutal.

More moderation = democracy?

What hahahahaha
Notice the guy has a Ukrainian flag next to his name. He supports the "Now Thing".

Question for all the stock traders here. What would be the best strategy for Musk to acquire significantly more shares without breaking the bank? Because wealthy individuals that don't want him to control Twitter will now be keeping a close eye on stock purchases. Can he have 10-20 entities or more buy up stock to try and hide his purchases more? I guess he would run afoul with the SEC? He has to report his purchases even if they are split up into smaller chunks by multiple entities?

Technically, he has to report..HOWEVER, he's the king of duping the SEC, so we'll see.

He's pumping stock to dump it.
