I always thought the core deinition of a muscle car was cheap car, the biggest motor you can fit in it, and the most power you can make from it.
In other words a mustang!!

JK!!!
I would much rather have a little bit of both nice refinement with big power.

^^^I agree. A sports car(some exceptions) has the muscle car power but can do more than go in a straight line and doesnt wiegh much. Im mainly refering to v8 cars though: Z06,Fgt,viper, etc. I think of fbodys as sports cars also but just not on the level as the before mentioned cars. I think of terms as muscle, just brute power.

a muscle car is generally a large 2 door or 4 door with a big motor and few amenities. stangs are not muscle cars, neither are vettes. mustangs are ponycars and vettes are sports cars.

that being said, give me a C6 Z06 any day..

and if i'm lucky, i may have one in early 2007 :D

In it's pure definition, a muscle car is a 2 door, 4 passenger, intermediate sized affordable car with a performance v8, like the Chevelle, GTO, etc.

A sports car is a 2 seat roadster, like the Corvette, Miata, etc.

"Muscle car" and "sports car" gets thrown around so much now, it can mean any performance car really.

Of all the newer cars, C6Z06 for me please.

Muscle Car.

Sports car makes me think of something wimpy like a Miata or a Porsche and
a muscle car would be something like a 427 Fairlane or a Hemi Roadrunner. JMO

Wow that's a tough choice. Considering I picture a miata or an s2000 when I hear sports car, I really have to go muscle. Is a vette even really a true sports car though?
