I just got the car back together in August. Had a timing chain tensioner shred and plugged up the oil pickup tube. Didn't lock the engine up, but it had to be pulled so I had it rebuilt.

Going to a machine shop that engine should be disassembled more, it would save money and the machinist time. I’ve had some nasty engines dropped off before and it’s like wtf, yea I’ll do all this, but you want free and tomorrow. ( not actually meaning Cody4v). Hope it goes well.

So upon further inspection I found out that the motor had broke the timing chain and locked the motor up. Even though the gears all looked good enough to use I'm still going to replace the whole timing set up with a MMR kit (hence the reason I'm sitting at work on Sunday at 5:30am.lol). I'll add the pictures after I get off.

Looks like the block is going to the machine shop for .030 bore job. Too much scarring.

After talking to several machine shops they have advised me to start by taking out .005 out of the worst cylinder and see just how much it will take to clean up the cylinders. Granted it isn't bad but I already have it tore down so I may as well freshen it up.

Over boring isn’t necessary but if needed.020 is the safe zone. Good luck. Find a shop and get in line the more you hunt the further behind you get. Get it in, let them measure it go from there
