Motor Help Needed!! Please

Ok i have had my car together and running for about 5000 miles. Motor was used with only 5K on it. I put new heads ported with blower cams. Sense day one there has been a ticking/knocking from the top end. I took it to 4 diffrent shops and no one can figure it out. Was told drive it until it blows. I have 5 K in the motor. Well the knocking has gotten worse. It is more on the pass side head. It is worse cold and gets a little softer as it warms up. Under load it is loud. Specs are as follows.

4.6l bored .20
maley h-beam rods
J.E. SRP 80 pistons
B-heads port and polished 3 angle valve job.
SHM blower cams
42 lbs injectors
S-trim 10lbs
aeromotive 340lph intank

These are the basics of the motor. The car runs fine and has great power and oil pressure is spot on. 60 cursing 30 idleing. Any ideas.

make sure you have oil pressure in the head. are they regrind cams? did you check cam caps to cam clearance? forged teksid motors some times sound like a bucket of loose bolts, sometimes its just piston slap.

pull the valve cover and inspect yourself- or make a video

How do you check oil perrsure in the heads. You can put your head in the wheel well and here it very slightly but man it is really load at the heads and intake hat. I think the cams are regrounds. I am not sure they came with the motor and unknown. They are choppy but not major. I have videos but a at work and can't upload. I will try and do it later today. if i bypass the supercharger and run the motor n/a the nosie almost completely goes away idleing as well as under load. atleast it do a few months ago.

If they are new comp cams and you did not bend the baffles in on the 96-98 valve cover the center part of the cam (the part that allows you to turn it/put a wrench on it is touching), comp switched to this style about 1 year ago and many people have found out the hard way.

If this is the case simply take the covers off, you will see where it is touching and dent the baffle in some and you are good to go!

Ok i talked to the guy that put the motor together for me. He said when i got the motor Cylinder 3 had no compression due to two bent valves. Replaced the heads with built ones and had great compression on all 8 cyclinders. He said valves hit the piston but didn't mark the piston forged i guess. I am wondering if it did something to that cylinder. It still has great compression. Maybe it messed up wrist pin. The motor has 5000 miles on it with this knock and it is slowly getting worse i have taken it off the road for now.

If they are the comps and were black colored/coated between the lobes they are hitting (unless you are using 99+ covers or removed your baffles), good luck, let us know if we can help!

I am at a lose. I pulled the valve cover off pass side and everything looks fine. Everything is nice and tight. Did a compression check and all pistons are reading 150 to 153. I put the car back together and it will not run. It blows out smoke and the wide band is max 10.0. All i took off was valve cover and intake hat with pass side fuel rail. I do not know what to do. I do not have the money to fix this car again. This is the three time in a year. I have a child on the way so i am saving for that. Please any ideas.

maybe you have a vacuum leak, when you say it wont run, do you mean at all or will it run but poorly?

I started the car today and it ran for 15 mins. I noticed that the negative batt. wire was very hot. I went to grab it to pull it off to test alt and i got a blisster from it. I have no idea what caused that. It seems the car runs until it warms up and the wire gets hot. Then the cars goes max rich.
