I have a 1998 cobra. Engine only has roughly 40,000 miles on it, has 4:10 gears, long tubes, catless x pipe, flowmaster mufflers, vmp tuning tuner ( car was built to spray by previous owner so could it have a nitrous tune and could I be making more power with another tune?) And a bbk cold air intake. What could I do to achieve more power?

if your not spraying id say get a new tune for what you got now.

As far as mods for more power your best bet would be Under drive pullies & alum drive shaft.

Of course you can tear the motor open and install some grind cam. & flat top pistons to up your compression!

I forgot to mention previous owner said it had 10 to 1 cp flat top pistons. Motor also has Manley h beam rods. Also, how do I tell what block I have?

My 2cent post.
Not to shut down discussion.

NASVT Recipe fixed!!!
NA ~300 RWHP with 96-98 DOHC B-Head 4.6L:
K&N filter
OEM Cams
March damper
March hydraboost and WP pulleys
Long tubes
Hi Flow Cats/Cat Delete mid-pipe
B-Head SRI
90mm LMAF
Tune (canned..more $ for real tuner tune)

350 RWHP:
106100/106060 comp cams properly degreed.
Tune.

Added by shurur..my guess
FP and 39# injector for slight rwhp gain and preparation for stroker/bb-stroker....again..with B-Heads.

If its got a nitrous tune u are probably a few degrees retarded on timing so u will be down on power without spray ask previous owner how big the shot was and how much timing they pulled
