There is no need for concern, this is a very isolated case and one in which even when the paint did flake (for reasons that are yet to be determined) did not pose any problem and caused no engine issues.

Is it a lead based paint? Enamel? Perhaps someone who handled it during install had grease or some solvent on their fingers. But even still, the paint should be resistant and/or high temp.
