Found a nice 00R fairly local.
Fair price, but not great.
Ready to go ahead and buy.
Then I said, "Let's talk about the R specific paperwork, whats included?"
"What paperwork", was the reply. I explained the items I needed.
Number plate
Black book
SVT Cert.
Window sticker
Black binder card
Black owners manual insert
There was only a title and SVT certificate.
Damn, damn, damn.... :fm:
I explained those irreplaceable 00R items have a sizable value to me as a buyer and if I ever want to sell. It was clear he was confused and annoyed and this transaction wasn't going to happen.
I went on to tell him if I had to place a dollar value on the missing items it would be s follows:
Number plate $1500 irreplaceable
Black book $1000 (maybe I could buy on the secondary market)
Window sticker $500 irreplaceable
Black binder card $200 (maybe I could buy on the secondary market)
Black owners manual insert $200 (maybe I could buy on the secondary market)
He wasn't willing to budge on price (minus $3K) and at this point he was a little pissy.
This seems too common with these cars being passed around like baseball cards.
Still shopping.
