Mechman alternators for 03-04 Cobras

Sorry to bring back a old thread. I was wandering how these are holding up I'm planning a eaton swap soon.

So far I have installed a nations with external regulator and two 170 amp mechmans with internal regulators. The nations and 1 mechman both have battery lights that flash at high rpm. Logged voltages looked great on both.

The second mechman I just asked if he has seen it because I don't recall seeing it come on and he said no it hasn't come on. So at first I figured the difference in the two I installed is that one has 4 gauge wire upgrades and the other one has 0 gauge wire upgrades. However, he just told me that the battery light didn't come on with the belt off, so clearly the bulb is out or prior owner removed it.

Both nations and mechman can't give me a reason why they are doing it. I started a thread about it and one person responded that he has seen issues with the connectors. So I will probably try hardwiring the one mechman to see if that solves the issue on that car.
