McLeod RST with new edge flywheel?

Has anybody installed a mcleod rst with a flywhel from a new edge car so you dont have any overhang on the clutch plates?

Its not about being cheap its that i already have a flywheel from my mach 1 before i sold it.
If it works just as well as a $300+ flywheel then why not use it?
