maybe have a different motor in my car? help please

When we had the k member off when puting on my headers, I saw a tag on the motor that said "manufactured in 2004". It is still the aluminum block but does anybody know what else could be in it? I can't get a hold of any of the previous owners so I was gonna see if anyone around here might know anything about what coiuld be going on. The car is a 97 cobra

if this is the case then does it mean that it still has the same power capabilities of the stock motor?

Who knows. May be an aluminator for all we know. No way to tell but I'd guess it's a stock motor as opposed to something forged. Cross your fingers though, you never know!

haha well crap, i guess well find out when i blow the motor... i guess when i get my procharger ill keep the boost at 10 or so just in case.

The aluminator wasn't available in 2004.
