Just wondering, and maybe this has been suggested before.
Instead of mods just deleting threads, maybe they can be locked and moved to a "archive" or "trash" that everyone can see, but not post too, maybe with the reason they were locked/moved posted in the last post by the mods.
Not trying to make more work for the mods or anything. But sometimes it just sucks to not know what happened.
But for instance, I know on a GB that was setup the thread was just deleted, the OP didn't have permission, which is fine....but the people that were interested in it were kinda left in the dark going "damn am I crazy?".
If need 9/10 the info could be removed if needed, but atleast giving us some kind of reference on what happened to the thread.
They have this kinda setup on another forum I visit and it seems to work out pretty well. In any case, just a suggestion.
