Need some help gang.

Trying to install mine.
Top and bottom bolts out, no problem.
Shaft is loose.
I've got Mac Lont Tube headers, and I cant pull the shaft out of the firewall without hitting the header. It looks impossible to get the shaft out.

anyone do this install with Mac headers?

Car is a 2000 GT, 2 valve.

maybe loosen the steering rack so you can shift it around to get more clearance and pull it from the bottom?

Never mind.
Got it.

Tip.
collapse the top portion of the shaft before trying to remove it.
This would have in essence, shortened the shaft, and would not hit the header while trying to take it out.

let me know how it goes, time-wise, difficulty, etc as I just got mine a couple days ago.

I might just wait and have my shop install it at the same as the steering rack bushings and TA

Hey I just bought a MM steering shaft for 50.00 dollars from a guy on craigslist and I was wondering how long did the install take you guys and what tools did you need?

Like someone else said, its pretty much plug and play.

There is a bolt on top, below the steering column, and one at the steering rack/

Remove both, swap, and replace both bolts.

I had headers in my way, which made it more difficult, but, its doable.
