A few weeks ago I had a pulley and tune done to my car and I finally made it to the track to see what shee can do. Here are the results:

1st Pass:
R/T: .441
60': 2.119
1/4: 12.924
MPH: 111.94

2nd Pass:
R/T: .604
60': 2.439
1/4: 13.394
MPH: 114.53

3rd Pass:
R/T: .546
60': 2.152
1/4: 13.098
MPH: 111.24

4th Pass:
R/T: .348
60': 2.374
1/4: 13.259
MPH: 112.16

So what do you guys think? I personally thought I would be a little better but I am by no means disappointed. I could not launch at all...real bad wheel hop or just baked the tires.

Yea you need traction help bad, with those mods you should run low to mid 12's, but as long as you had fun does it matter

What tires did you have in back? Those 60' ft's arent the best and there is a lot of room for improvement...

I have BFG G-Force T/A's. Not my choice of tires...that is what came on the car when I bought it.

I would've thought the mph would've been higher. +1 on the pulley cars running high 11's,but I guess those are the better drivers that do?

get some better tires and go run low 12's
It takes alot of seat time to get the cobra out of the hole and be good at it.

you should be trapping much higher than 112ish no? my car is not pullied or tuned, only a magnaflow exhaust and i ran a 12.83 at 112 ... that was with a 2.0 60' btw ... 60's are the tough part of the strip, other runs were 2.2 2.3 and 2.4

My 1/8th mile time was 8.487 on my 12.92 run. I am by no means an experienced racer...this was my first time running the car at a track.

are you flooring it? something is wrong with a 112 mph trap, the 114mph is slightly better on the run where you spun too much obviously, but you should be 116mph AT LEAST with 450rwhp, especially in ideal conditions that you described.

When I would launch I would rev to about 1000 RPM and slowly let out the clutch (the only way to limit wheel spin). Then once I got traction I would floor it.

...Good tires and you should be in the low 12's, upper 11's IMO! ...I ran a 12.09 many mods ago with a 2.93" BF, Nitto 275 DR's & before the dyno!

Well it sounds like I just need to practice more and maybe get some new tires. Unfortunately summer is coming to an end and the car will be going to storage soon...not sure if I will get back to the track this year. Thanks for all the tips though.

It's all about practice man...no worries...I went from 8.3-8.5 1/8 mile times to 7.85-7.9s with similar mods...it will come with time...next time out I'm shooting for 7.5s...you gotta be aggressive...
