Since this area is more active and its a SIMILAR motor I thought I'd ask here.


For a Stock car..what's the most timing I should run? I just got a SCT Pro Race Package and want to know what limits to stay in until I can hit a dyno.

There are several things that must be squared away before you go to wild with the timing.

Ill say go with 23 deg on the BKT, @ 6000 and take it from there. You may add 1 deg at the time if you detect no knock up to o/a 26 deg. I would not go more than 27 deg with 93 octane and spot on MAF transfer fuction.

Play with your commanded AF and shoot for a o/a 12.7:1 @ peak HP and o/a 12.5:1 @ Peak TQ. Then take it from there.
