I don't remember the 60' times. I'll have to get ahold of the owner. I don't think he's on this board, but he'll be at the all Ford show this weekend. I know I kinda babied the car out of the whole, then just got on it hard the rest of the way. No wheel hop, very little spin. :thumbsup: :burnout:

New Best for me!

So I was down at cecil tonight and got 6 runs in. between 14.40 and 14.0. I did run 2 16+'s but that was because I missed 3rd and shut her down. I ran a 14.40 @ 99, 14.34 @ 99, 14.27 @ 99 and my best a 14.02 @ 98.92 with a 2.138 60' on stock F1's with mods in my sig. What do you guys think of these times for the "major" mods I have being exhaust and pullies if you dare call those major... :lol: Think I can reach 13's as is or do you think I need gears and/or drag radials to reach that?

What kind of tire pressure are you running in the F-1's? You should be able to get a MUCH better 60' than that with those tires on your car. I have gotten a 1.8 60' out of my F-1's.

As far as other things to do, I would definatley put the gears in (at least 3.73's), and I would throw some tailpipes and a off-road X or H pipe on that bad boy. It'll run better! You get good with launches and I bet you'll see mid-high 13's EASY with just those things done! :thumbsup:

Well. I just got back from Capitol tonight. First time at the track for my vert. My best time was 12.71 60' 1.77 at 109.73. Pretty much stock only a FIPK and CATback. Could not launch without spinning. I went up there with a couple of friends that have a corvette and a 350Z. Both heavily modded. The vette ran 12.2 and the Z ran 12.6. If I can figure out the launch, I think I could be right there. If not, I'll just add a pulley/tune :coolman: I'm hooked now!

Thanks Dwight, had a blast! Abused the car 6 times..I need to learn how to do a good burnout. I would like to beat my friends vette. Probably gonna have to do a couple mods first though. This is an addictive hobby.

I was getting our best E/T runs, and whatever that 60ft and mph was went down along with it.


If we want to consider changing to best E/T, best 60ft, and best mph - that's fine with me. Let's get a poll going in another thread and see what the results bring.

On Saturday I had got a new personal best of 12.29 @ 113 on the stock pulley and full weight!!

The best I could manage out of my '98 this weekend was a 13.28, but got a new best MPH at 106.8. Don't know if anyone was watching, but comming off the line the car actually wanted to hook, the rear was just binding up and bouncing all over the place! It even did it on the second and thrid shifts every time!

The car definately has a 12 in it, just gotta get it to hook.

Time for a set of aftermarket rear upper and lower control arms! :thumbsup:
