I have a 2003 Cobra with SCT XCAL 2 tune, 293 upper, 4 lb. lower,
air filter, SCT BA 2400 MAF, ported T/B, ported plenum, Magnaflow
mufflers in stock pipes, KB B-A-P and TR6 spark plugs.
I got a new tune with the monitors turned on.
Right now, I have my EGR and CATALYST monitors showing a
"not ready" status. It seems like the other monitors went
ready fairly quickly but these two don't seem to want to.
Someone said the problem might be, that I need to re-tune with
the stock MAF installed. Anybody agree? I need to figure out
what this problem is. Any ideas would be appreciated.

that's a negative ghostrider. those monitors are either still turned off or are taking a while to be recognized. are you getting a P1000 code as well?

There is currently no P1000 code showing and the EVAP has
gone to ready status.

I took out my Cobra last night to put more miles on the drive cycle,
which was up to 732 miles after I came back after my run.
I plugged in my scan tool and I was very glad to see the EGR had
gone to ready status. Never thought it would take that long to fix.
Now I just need to get my CATALYST monitor to ready status.

Eatonualive281, I was doing my drive cycle with my race tune and my
race maf. I drove 1014 miles and everything but my Catalyst monitor
were in ready status. This was a pain.
I installed my factory stock tune and my factory maf and within 78 miles
6 monitors went ready, then the following night the Evap went ready.
Right now all I have left at 165 miles, is my Egr monitor. I need to go out
and do a bit more driving to get that into ready status.
Running these two stock parts, I can not go into boost or WOT! I think the
maf is what made the big difference, not the tune. When everything is in
ready status, I can go back to the MAC inspector and then go get another
sticker. Later on, I can re-install my race parts again.
