Hey guys. Bought my first terminator today. Got it for an absolute steal and drove it home 4 hours. 120k miles. I was told the eaton is ported and has a smaller pulley. Has a few other modifications here and there but that doesn't matter right now. I was told it was returned to stock tune which I know isn't great for it, but I figured itd be good enough to baby it home. I bought the car knowing the eaton has some issues. So. Under 2300-2800 rpm the blower just sounds atrocious. Above that it screams just like they all do. The best way I have found to describe it is like there is rocks inside it. It's most certainly bearings, but which? Needle? Snout? Both? I don't have much history on the car. Is this something I can rebuild myself? I have pretty decent knowledge on the N/A 4v side of things, but this boosted stuff is all new to me. Any tips with tuning? Or any decent pointers at all? Sorry for the long winded post. Thank you.

I had rock sounds.

Ford said normal.

I pulled it apart

Found the coating on rotors chipping off

Took off what was left and it’s been quiet since.

Well over 200k miles since
