I can't believe no one mentioned a Fusion.

The 2006-2008 were seriously one of the most reliable cars Ford has ever made. Its better built and larger than a Focus, but smaller and gets better mileage than a Crown Vic.

But of course, I have different opinion than everyone else

Well the whole $5K thing kinda threw a wrench into that one.

I don't recall seeing many $5K Fusions.

I was thinking the same think too, but a mechanic here just picked one up for around $5500. It s a little higher mileage (around 130K) but nothing really wrong with it. I can't remember exactly where he bought it, but I do not think it was from a relative or friend sort of thing where someone he knew was getting a deal.

I thought maybe the prices were finally coming down on these, but maybe got lucky scored a good price on one.
