With a stock 04' Cobra will the even smaller pulley 2.70" vs the 2.76" upper supercharger pulley be too small without applying other supporting mods, aside from the required tune and idler pulley.

I run a 2.76 Upper and some people think that even a 2.76 Upper is "too small" and will "over spin" the blower. My car runs fine with the 2.76, as well as many other cars on this site. I don't think going to a 2.70 is even worth it in all honestly. Stay with the 2.76 upper. Even though I didn't need to get a bap or a maf, some people have maxed out their fuel pumps and maf's with just an upper pulley. Every car is different. Definitely get a dyno tune if swapping pulleys.

^^ What he said.. Some max out there pumps some max out there MAF's and some are fine..

My buddies 03 with a 2.76 is fine, my best friends 04 with a 2.76 maxed out the maf and needed a mafia, but fuel pumps where fine, well they were on the edge but still with in tolerance.

Well, thanks for the insite. I didn't think about the mafs and I didn't think the fuel pumps would be affected that much. The 2.76" seems to be the common safe side of it all. Thanks again for the replies. It gives me something to think about.

my buddy(last owner of my car) put a 2.8 pulley, midpipe, catback, cai, and tune on the car with no fuel or maf upgrades and it was fine. when I originally did my ported blower i had the original mods to the car plus ported blower/plenum/tb and stepped down to the 2.76 and the fuel was at 98% duty cycle, not sure about the maf because i added a mafia right away just to be safe, i have now put on a bap to lower the duty cycle. but i wouldn't worry about the fuel cutting it unless one of your pumps is weak. the maf SHOULD be a ok but like stated above every car is different. a dyno tune isnt really necessary either at that point, imo, while you'll be leaving hp on the table with a mail order/general tune it will be fine. however i would highly recommend atleast temporarily hooking up a wideband to it just to make sure it's in a good afr range if not going the dyno tune route. my car with the mods in the sig has a mail order tune.
