I had to do a lot of fab work to get these fitted, and then get them ceramic coated. I just finished installing them today.

I have a few things to do, then get it to the exhaust shop to tie them into the rest of the exhaust. I will start on the Vortech as soon as I do a shake down drive of what has been done so far.

I'm generally not a fan of T-birds. But I have to say, that's sweet!

was that a heat shield for the clutch cable??? BTW very nice ride you got there:thumbsup:

Not sure which picture you are refering to, but the only heat shielding is above the header collectors on the floor. The car has had extensive weight reduction, so does not have any padding inside, or A/C, etc. I put the heat sheilding there to keep from giving myself a hot foot, since the gas pedal is just above it.

That area had to be modified to fit the headers, and keep them good and high up. Nobody makes long tubes for these cars, so these are Mustang headers, adapted to the Bird.

Took it to the exhaust shop to make up some pipes from the headers to the mufflers. These will be used for the street, but very easy to pull that section out, and insert my section of 3 inch with turn downs for the track.

Nothing to record the sound yet, but start on the Vortech install next week, and will get some sound files then for sure... :)

Here is where it exits

Very nice, just watch those road hazzards. One bang on those collectors and the slip fits will leak. I know that all too well...

That's a really clean install. I'd love to hear a sound clip, or see a video. Awesome!
