My driveshaft on my 1999 Mustang Cobra is toast. Any local shop recomendation around southern NH? The original shaft has a little bend in it and can not be re-balanced.

I contacted Brookline Machine in North Andover they wanted $520 plus my old Yoke's. PST will send me an aluminum one for $420 with all new components. I never purchased a driveshaft from Brookline or PST. I do not mind paying a little more for a locally sourced unit but 24% is a little harsh. Brookline may have a little movement on price.

All the best

If you want to save a few bucks - more than a few - I've got a perfectly good '98 driveshaft doing rust-and-dust endurance testing in my garage. I couldn't use it because the Futura receiver car in my swap project has a longer wheelbase.

Spoke to Nate in the driveshaft shop at Mitchell Differential. New steel driveshaft and yokes $275. New Aluminum driveshaft $375. Have to love that 24 hour service too! I am just going to drop my old bent unit off tomorrow. Hopefullly pick up a shinny new aluminum unit some time on Wednesday.

cheers

Driveshaft was built in one day! Car is now smooth as butter.
