What should it cost to do a swap with a sraight purchase of parts, new or used. NO exchange for IRS. Am I correct that you have to do some brake work and replace the catback?

Using all new parts, I spent around $2500, doing the install myself.
Costs can vary depending on how you build up the new rear.

No brake work, just swap parts, and yes a GT catback is required.

I swapped with a bullitt. He gave me his solid and 200 (for gears). I paid someone to install new gears, axles, differential, and differential cover. It cost around 1000 bucks in parts and 400 bucks in labor. So it cost me 1200 bucks for a built solid.

You need 98 cobra caliper brackets unless you get the solid from a mach1 or a bullitt.

Or if you decide to keep GT brakes in the rear- they're smaller but when running sticky tires, clearances are a little more.
