For those wondering why Buick has lasted, you can blame China. They are the biggest market for Buick sales.
you contradict yourself....cadillac is proof that lincoln could be a viable brand
IDK. BMW's are the most overrated luxury vehicles ever IMO. They just aren't that luxurious for the $ they command. I would much rather have a Audi or Benz to a BMW. I mean BMW has a few nice performance luxury based cars, but in terms of their comfort, and interiors, etc to me they are out of their league compared to Benz and Audi. A lot of the people I work with own your basic/typical 3 series type BMW's and I'm just thinking, "you payed this much for this car." I mean I've ridden in Camry's that were nicer IMO. I compared a BMW 535i to a Cadillac STS in some C&D event they invited me to and I thought the STS was a way nicer, and faster car than the BMW.
Ford is capable of making some nice luxury vehicles if they want. Look at the upscale F-Series models(KR, Platinum, etc) they are very comfortable truck with great interiors. If Ford is going to be command over $45K for their luxury brand products then they need to get away from the economy/hybrid type mentality and go more for the fun of driving a vehicle mentality, and that's were BMW seems to shine to many people.
Lincolns newer stuff is NICE.
and you can get the MKS with the AWD and ecoboost.
I think the problem is they never advertise them as sporty and fun
Lincoln never made great reliable 90s vehicles.
How many crappy 90s Lincoln vehicles do you see on the road with horrible saggy squeaky suspensions especially Navigators.:bored:
This. If you follow Cadillac on Instagram, half their posts are about their racecars. Cadillac's image is summed up as:
That's what Lincoln needs to compete with.
All his posts are full of contradiction and clueless babbling.
You are such a blue oval fanboy its almost hard to read anything you post, because its usually full of bias.

How many BMWs do you see on the road with crappy saggy suspension???
I wouldnt say a 15-20 year old suspension being saggy or squeaky makes a vehicle unreliable.
Theres a million town cars from the 90's all over the roads.

Then why don't you take you arrogance to a site that isn't blue oval based if you have a problem with it. At least I'm real with with what I say. I never said that Lincolns are the best luxury cars on the road. In fact I'm saying they need to do something about their image, and Caddy, the Germans and Lexus have them beat. I also never said they made great reliable vehicles threw the 90's. I said in the late 90's they started making some cooler luxury vehicles in the Navigator and LS. In 98 Lincoln was the only one to offer a big luxury SUV, and Cadillac didn't have anything good to compete with the LS until they came out with the CTS. You're putting words in my mouth.
Are you pissed that I said BMW's have never impressed me fro a luxury standpoint. They are overrated. I'm sorry if that offends you and your BMW. Shit my first car was a old BMW and it lasted about 6 months with me that I actually got to drive for about a month or 2 of that time because it was a straight up POS. I've been in quite a few BMW's, and I've been in a few Benz's, and Audi's and I would take a Benz or Audi over a BMW everyday all day as they are much nicer cars IMO.
If you are having trouble with the suspension sagging on your Lincoln then my guess is it's time to buy a new compressor for the air ride suspension. From what I've been told is they do go bad after a while and need to be replaced.
Your still a biased blue oval fanboy and Lincoln is still going down the crapper just like Mercury.
On the contrary: Cadillac, formerly my most hated car marque, has beaten my old favorite BMW at their own game. I'm completely at a loss, except to say that I'll take a CTS-V over an M5 any day of the week (provided the new one is available in three pedal form).no matter how hard American luxury auto makers try they will never compare to BMW,MB,Audi.
So even if the Cadillac is better in every objective and subjective aspect, the BMW is more desirable because BMW? :dw:I don't care how fast the engine is, how well put together the car is, and how its literally just as good and even cheaper.
The masses may be irrational, but we don't have to follow trends that don't make sense. The luxury market is so hard to tap into with the Euro cars just winning every category. A BMW will be more expensive, less powerful, have more problems, cheaper interior yet still sell way more than any american luxury car, its as simple as that.
Agreed. It will never change. I think Lincoln will die off shortly,
Should've been Buick rather than Pontiac, that's for damn sure. The Regal GS 6-speed is a desirable car, and Buick's other offerings are a huge step forward, but it's all likely too little too late.i don' know how buick is still around.
Again, just because BMW/Mercedes?There nice but i would never buy one, i'll take a 335i or c250 any day of the week.i'd take a used BMW,Audi,MB any day over a new american luxury car.
Why?It sucks because the new caddys and Lincoln's are so nice, and probably built just as well with better warranties, but i would still buy a German luxury sedan.
I think the better question is whether or not Ford SHOULD save Lincoln. They're getting their asses kicked in that segment. At some point, you're better off focusing on what you do well, and cutting your losses in areas you're not competitive.
bingo!
need a completely new car in 2-door, 4-door and wagon variant that we can put a 5.0 and gt500 motor in
