The supplier, by contract, cannot unilaterally change materials. This was Ford's decision. Research it further. Ford signs off on design/engineering changes. The wording used in some of those articles doesn't tell the whole story. To imply Ford had no idea regarding the materials change simply isn't true.
Neither Ford or NHTSA show any recalls on my car. Camera has been replaced, but the brake bracket has not.
You might be a lucky one then. Hopefully the correct part was used.

How long did they have the car to do the camera replacement? Do you know what was involved? Do they have to take apart the dash or just something in the trunk?
Ok good to know lol thanks!Nov 13th and it took about 15 min. The camera is in the trunk lid and they only have to remove the cover to get to the camera.
I bought my 2014 gt500 in February of this year with 7 miles on itBINGO! Glad I have my low mileage 2013 GT500... with a stick!

Yah...How many cars did the Takata crap effect? I think stats bare out you take on more of that risk with any early car model, but it never is fully gone.Because the 05-14 mustangs never had any recalls ... On oh say airbags?

Damn brand new. Ever been titled?I bought my 2014 gt500 in February of this year with 7 miles on it
yah. It was titled with 5 miles on it. He trailered it to his collection/warehouse and parked it. he periodically would drive them just around his garage just to keep fluids moving I suppose.Damn brand new. Ever been titled?
Now that car is what I would deem a collectable. Add that is was the last GT500 that Carroll Shelby had input in it's development, makes it extremely valuable. Low, low miles, little usage and likely pristine. What a get!yah. It was titled with 5 miles on it. Well...this is part of his collection. I believe he traded it back in to the dealer he bought it from to get their only 2020 GT500 allocation...So what made him sell it?
