Dude, you were supposed to splice into the wires and not cut them.

By cutting them, you just cut the power to your dome lighting :bash:

twisting them back together is fail waiting to happen. You could have easily used wire taps and connected these. But, since you have already cut them, get someone who knows how to solder fix these wires and be sure to cover them properly with heat-shrink tubing or something similar (electrical tape is not going to cut it). When you get these soldered up you can connect the leds.

Since you mention "no go" you probably burnt the fuse for the dome. Check and replace if necessary

Wow this is sick! This might be on the winter mod list. I think a blue or white light would look good.

Nice!

That would look great! I'm not feeling the red, but that's just $.02. I think bright white would look killer, or even just more of a "natural" light color as well. I definitely want to do this! I think that the "going to the fuse box" route would be easiest though.

I think I also saw at one point, not sure if it was this site or not, that someone fixed some LEDs up and under the outside door handles to come on when you hit the "unlock" button on your key fob, to come on and shine on the ground by your door... looked sweet and super clean. These were also wired into the dome light as well, to where they'd stay on when you unlock your car and shut off once you're in with the door closed.
