Well.....the GT500. The only reason that it is still considered an "SVT" is because it was too late to take off the badges and stickers. This is indeed a sad day.

I'm still in the camp that the GT500 WILL NOT be built.

My answer would be the GT (non SVT badged) ... '04 Cobra SVT badge

The GT500 is still going to have SVT badging in numerous areas on the car. Kick Plate, Wheel Caps, Tach's etc....

04 is the last SVT Cobra. The GT didn't have SVT badges. And the GT500 will be considered a Shelby.

The GT500 is an SVT engineered Mustang. $helby's just a name on the thing, he may have had some input on that Fugly hood though...

No, 02 Cobras exist. There are 200 of them and they all reside in Australia.

HERE IT IS----LOL*2002 Cobra NOTE: Officially, there were no 2002 Cobras produced in the US, but Ford's sales data shows 100 4-valve Cobras shipped to Australia as a special export batch in early '02. SVT has stated that they do not count these numbers in their totals but they were labeled as 2002 Models from Ford. These cars were exactly the same as the '01's except were made especially for Australia's standards (right hand drive, extra lights,
etc.).

If SVT disappears in April, and the GT500 is released AFTER that, how could it be considered an SVT car? Besides, if the bean-counters could save a few pennies by eliminating the SVT emblem, don't you think they'd jump at the chance?

It will be sold as a SVT product, here are some pics from www.svt.ford.com. Look at the SVT branding on the center caps, coil covers and gauges.
