Para3 in S110V

How are you liking your s110v?

When I first bought mine, I had no idea how much I was gonna like that metal… The edge is so sticky… sticky in a way that ****S everything you try and cut up.

No idea... 99% of my blades stay in the box and in the safe. My daily carry is a Para3 in S45VN and I have no complaints. Holds an excellent edge, only have to sharpen it once every 4-5 months or so

Damn… We are the complete opposite… I trash my blades, every chance I get… paper, cardboard, plastics, some wooden stuff, etc…

You are the type of guy I wanna buy my second hand market knives from! God bless you! Lol

I'm in this boat. My knives get used hard. Blades are all beat up. Probably sharpen every month.

So speaking of sharpening, what's everyone using? I've got a set of simple pair of a gritty diamond rod and a ceramic rod. I just sharpen to a point of a cleanly slicing paper.

I am very new to knives… I just picked up the hobby a few months ago… didnt (still dont) know much about sharpening… had gotten a guided field ”sharpener” (ceramic hone and strop)… it was okay to touch up stuff that had not really lost the edge….

recently bought a Work Sharp sharpener…. Thing is insane good. Was able to sharpen on of my Benchmades well above factory new level. Was extremely impressed. You cannot **** it up. Well worth the money spent.

I have both the Precision Adjust and the Ken Onion/Elite Knife Sharpening Solution and prefer the Precision Adjust. I do like the Ken Onion with a leather belt strop/compound to quickly touch up my knives but for sharpening and repair I prefer the manual sharpener vs the powered one. When I started out with the KO I messed up the bevel (made it wavy) on one of my kitchen knives super, super fast.

You can also get some 6" stone holders from Gritomatic and different stones/diamond stones/strops for the PA. Ive been extremely happy with some cheap amazon special stones followed up with balsa strops and Gunny Juice 9, 3 and .5 micron diamond emulsion stropping compound. Gunny Juice is really some impressive stuff, once you get a strop loaded up it lasts a very long time.

I just lost my Para 2. Will be replacing, perhaps with a maxamet blade.

I probably have 20 knives most of which are high end.

If I was forced to only have one it would be a Para 2.

the Maxamet one? Sucks man.

I gotta say, now getting some experience with the Spydercos, I understand the hype on them. I have not really messed with my other knives… If I had to only at this time, it would also by my Paramilitary 2.

I used to only carry PM2's until the Para3 came out.... now the PM2 feels too large.

Re: sharpening, I like the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Impossible to **** up and leaves a nice edge

Gotta love when your new knife is out for delivery. Check the delivery at work and it was delivered when you were at home before you left at 2 for work. Hmmmm..don't recall anything and checked porch and mailbox when I left. Get home a 10PM...still nothing. Chances of it arriving today...are much less. Address correct......no delivery's on the doorbell camera. Sigh. LOL!

that sucks bro. I always track my deliveries like a hawk. Not too long ago I got something of mine delivered the wrong address. Was able to track it down and recovered it. made me sweat a little bit. Lol
