This was on October 28th, we just met up at the g2g and went at it. The Viper behind me is DEADEYE. The GT driver was very cool and admired all of our cobra's. His brother had a nice Saleen, the white one parked next to his GT.

The Ford GT was dyno-tuned and had exhaust.
Enjoy, took me a while to make the movie version of the race.
Watch them both!!

That is just sick.

I would think the GT's weight advantage would show better so I'm guessing you have gears?

Plus with his lighter weight that was no 50hp advantage. That guy's REAL rwhp # is probably close to stock at 500rwhp.

Yeah, thats why he dyno'd 540rwhp. Good call :kaboom:

So you do have gears?

So he's got exhaust and tune which gave him 50hp at he flywheel (stock they are 550hp), assuming only a 10% loss?

My point is this: Yes you killed him good, but... assuming it's a much lighter car and solo driver and only a 66 rwhp advantage to you, you shouldn't have pulled that hard.

So either:

A. You have different than stock gearing.

and/or

B. He was in 1 gear too high.

What mph has your car gone at the track? You're going to need to have at least a 134-135 mph car to pull him that like.

I just think he's either starting in the wrong gear, or is shifting at 3000rpm. No way a car with 50rwhp more pulls a car like that with 200 lb less.

Good runs. Was your numbers on a Mustang Dyno or a DynoJet? I put down 606 on a Mustang Dyno and 650 on a Dyno Jet.

Exactly, and I have never pulled three car lengths on a C6 ZO6 with full exhaust and a tune. :D And we raced to well over 160 mph, so you can take bad shifting out of the equation. Some people can't believe what they see, so matter what.
