Installed a KB 2.3L on my stock block Lightning and had the truck dynoed at RWTD in Mobile, AL. Mods: 2.3 L KB with 3.0" upper and 4# lower, JLP plenum and powerpipe, Bassani catback, Chickenears CAI, LFP SBTB, SCT BA 2400 MAF, and the typical fuel system upgrades. On 15 degree tune truck made 452 rwhp. On the 19 degree tune with extra octane the truck made 488 rwhp. Boost level was about 18 psi with the above pulley combo.

I would agree, but he seems to be at a safe power level, which I think is more of a concern than the boost level. The only real drawback is that he could make that power without spinning the blower that much.

Thanks guys. Right after the dyno I switched to a 3.25 upper. On my boost guage I'm seeing about 15 psi now.
