I've got nearly 175k, so I think to myself. you know what I should replace the steering rack, p/s pump, and A/c clutch. Everything is back together, turned the wheel lock to lock a couple of times and turned her on, repeat. Okay cool, steering feels better than before. I put it back on the ground and get it ready to drive to my alignment appointment the next day.
Next day, getting ready to go and I've got no power brakes or power steering.
-Pump wasn't whining
-no air bubbles
-nothing.
Cool, ill strong arm it over to the alignment place so they can fix the steering at least and replace the P/s pump on the weekend.
Its today:
I replaced it and still nothing.
-I've turned lock to lock with engine off, With and Without Vacuum.
-I've turned lock to lock with engine on, With and Without Vacuum.
-I've turned it 1/4 of the way each direction with increasing turns and nothing.
WTF am I supposed to look at now? I tested the pump on bench and it was working as intended. The pump I replaced was working as well. I am confused on what I'm missing. System holds Vacuum at around 15-20 as I've placed the hose on the reservoir and left it for 30-60 minutes and it doesn't budge, So I would believe that rules out a leaking hose.
