Never heard of it and can't find it on there site. Unless it's not under the 03-04 cobra section?

That's a Centerforce clutch, I personally have had the dual friction type on my GT and Roush I thought they were really good, but have no experience with the DYAD. I believe Muscle Mustang or 5.0 magazine recently did an install and write up on an 03 Cobra, and gave it good reviews.

Lacks a replaceable friction marcel on the flywheel which probably can't be machined as its already recessed. Now you're buying a flywheel with every clutch rebuild, if you stick with it. I'll stay with Mcleod which uses the OE or common aftermarket flywheels with replaceable marcel.

Interesting. I considered selling my rxt and trying the dyad, but like tractionless1 said it sucks you have to keep buying flywheels.

A flywheel should last an extremely long time. The only way the flywheel takes a beating is if the clutch/PP isn't doing its job.

The problem will be how the car is used. If it is beat on, raced, etc (who wouldn't be if you are in need of a RXT based on the power you make), the flywheel will generate hot spots from that use and should be machined at least. If a flywheel is a one time use, they should adjust price accordingly IMO. Unfortunately it is a wear item. I would never just leave the flywheel alone when doing a clutch job. Either replace it, replace friction surface or have it turned/resurfaced like a rotor.

Good point but some of us just like to have insane amounts of power for the street, lol. My car might make it to the track once after it has a new clutch and thats about it. The rest of the time it will just be street driving and I just need it to hold WOT from a roll. The RXT has soooooooo many good reviews it does make it tough.

LOL I find myself saying that about this clutch project, is that if its not what I want then I'll just replace it. The good news for you is you might get 2 sales out of the deal, one for the Dyad and then one for the RXT a short time later. :bash:
