Swype is good.
Lightning Launcher= awesome home screen replacement. Once you try it and get the hang of it you will never go back.
Power Amp= best music player I've found. Sound is great
Scanner Radio= free scanner
Ringtone maker pro= awesome way to make ring tones from mp3s. I use zedge sometimes but with this you can use the part of the song you want. Zedge is good for notification tones.

Nova Launcher > * other launchers.

swiftkey > swype.

Swype wins for their custom dictionary abilities. Try typing a lengthy email address with swiftkey. Ex [email protected] Swiftkey messes up all sorts of different ways while attempting that. With Swype, I type, "myf" and it pops up as a suggested option. With my my screenname here, log into name for work access, etc.

maybe, I type in tho and it knows to start thomas91169. if I put in thom it knows i want my email. I dont use either for their swype or no-lift-to-text capabilities, just for the fact their predictive text is spot on usually.

It knows entire strings of sentences now, itll suggest the words I use frequently in strings and its gotten to the point where I hit one word and it spits out the right words in sequence for me to make entire sentences, just learning how I type and talk and such.

It takes a few weeks for it to predict text sentences and I do have phrases like user ID and email saved. Then again I don't write novels with my phone when I email and I don't do much emailing with my phone. Works a lot better than the stock system.

I'm using Topify, not sure how that compares to Tapatalk.

Another vote for SwiftKey here. Had Swype and didn't care for it.

Some useful apps I have on my Note 2: AccuWeather, Astro File Manager, ES File Explorer, Fancy Widgets, FoxFi (allows tethering w/o rooting), KeepScreen (blocks screen timeout for predefined apps), MapMyRun (useful if you're a runner), Nova Launcher, Fancy Widgets, Square Register (nice if you want to take credit card payments on your phone & free), SQLite Editor, SuperSU (if rooted), theChive, Wallbase, Zedge, Zooper Widget Free.
