As a clutch wears out, the fingers move out/back. This will in turn push the TOB and fork back.

Without the cable installed, see if you can move the TOB/fork back/away from the clutch fingers.

The fork is back. I was hoping this clutch would last long enough for me to get the 2.9 tuned, then do the new clutch this winter but it might not work out that way.

So when I went to an aftermarket 2 hook clutch quadrant with modified stock cable (I followed the online advice on how to do it), my adjustment was between 2 hooks for the most part. I decided the quadrant is not a very hard metal, so I marked off a bit with a pen and ground it out (after a couple fitments and regrind) so it fit perfectly with lots of firewall adjustment. Or the other option was to get an aftermarket cable with adjustment at the fork as well, but the stock one is a stronger cable so I just stayed with that.
