I've been going to T&T the last few weeks and am mainly focusing on 60ft times.
I'm just wondering if I'm expecting too much or if they are about average.
There have been some things that don't make sense to me but I guess every car is different.
2 tracks both are 1/8th mile
2011 GT A6 all stock besides
Tune
Nitto 555r 275/40/18 10 inch wheels
approx. 20 runs with most 60ft being 1.93-1.96 with a few 1.97-1.98 and a few 1.91-1.92
DA between 300 and 2600
Best 60ft was VERY first time down the strip.
60ft was 1.86 but blew the tires shifting to second. aborted run
Ended up running best that night of 8.01 at 88 with 1.91 60ft
DA was 300
Added offroad xpipe, removed spare tire and 60ft still 1.93-1.96
MPH up to 90 with 2600 DA
Most runs 8.06-8.09
Removed front swaybar 60ft still 1.93-1.97
Last night with 1500 DA run 7.98 at 91 and 7.96 at 91 with 1.93 60ft.
At one track I can hear tires chirping/screeching a little at hit and the other track which is much better prepped it feels and sounds like it "dead hooks" but 60ft are about the same.
There are probably 3-4 hundredths more in it with shift to second screeching/spinning instead of just chirping at both tracks.
Best 60ft have been with 30 psi. I have lowered to as much as 22 psi and 60ft were 1.96-1.98
Best 60ft (1.86) has been leaving off idle but generally doesn't seem to matter if I stall to 1500 or not.
Thoughts
*sorry for the rambling. Just trying to give as much info as possible
