Mercedes-Benz looks to shake up the all-electric luxury segment with new ESQ model
- Mercedes-Benz (OTCPKDAIF) is pointing to its new EQS sedan as a breakthrough in the all-electric luxury vehicle segment.
- The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS made its official debut today and will arrive at U.S. dealers sometime this fall.
- The automaker says the EQS is designed to exceed the expectations of even its most discerning customers.
- The high-tech model has screens across nearly the entire dashboard of the vehicle and a passenger screen that will not be visible to the driver. The first versions to be sold in the U.S. will be the EQS 450+, which features 329 horsepower and the EQS 580 4MATIC with 516 horsepower. A future performance version is expected to deliver up to 630 horsepower.
- The EQS is expected to be priced at over $100K.
- The EQS is being lined up to compete directly with the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.
