Intercooler fluid?

What are you all running for fluid in your various inter coolers? Distiller water plus additives? Which additive?

I just run ford antifreeze and water.

Depends where you live, The more water you have you dissipate more heat than antifrezze. I live in California so I run just distilled water.

Ford antifreeze same as in the rad and mixed 50:50 with deionized water.

How about water with Royal Purple Ice additive? I live in AR, we don't really get a hard winter here, and when its that cold the Mustang stays in the garage.

Summer, water with water wetter, in the winter, anti freeze.

I recommend a 70/30 mix distilled water/glycol (anti freeze). The anti freeze helps to cut down on corrosion. Even with distilled water they'll be a little corrosion over time.

I put dex-cool in mine which is the same as the Ford stuff


I had been thinking if water wetter or something like that would keep the water cooler?
