I am looking into getting a MMR built shortblock and thought I should do headers at the same time. My plan would be to pull the motor in a buddies garage so I wouldn't have access to a lift. I have read you can pull the motor from above or from below. I read the thread about the guy pulling it from below the car on jack stands and thats a bit scary!!!

For those of you who have pulled it from above, have you installed long tubes with it out and then dropped it back in from above? Or will this even fit this way? Im trying to plan this out and am thinking about the Pypes or the SW/SP ones.

The AR will not work out the top. I plan to install the passenger side one only and put it in through the top. The driver side is a pretty easy install anyway.

They go in place pretty easy from the bottom so I don't think you gain much that way. With the passenger side one on you can have the starter mounted as well. That's the hardest side.
