Guy at work mentioned he was interested in buying my car today. He has been shopping for vert-vettes but the 2-seats, no room for kids thing has him reconsidering Cobras.

I won't lie, tempted..... (not really sure, I might be a coupe guy trapped in a vert body)

I said "give me tonight to drink it over"

Would I be an outcast?

I have no idea what it is worth either.

I'll type out the mods for a mini therapy session...............

No illusions about the mods not retaining value but at this stage the car is "done" and is a good driver away from low 11's

I need to drink on it more, still not messing up any words after 3 DFH 60Minute IPA's.

Take $29,000 and call it a day...

You are most definelty a hard core couper posing as a preppy drop topper.

DO IT AND STEP OUT OF THE CLOSET ONCE & FOR ALL!!! :coolman:

How's that for advice?:p

EDIT: Caveat...you are OBLIGATED to purchase a TERMINATOR COUPE...if you buy a C-6 be prepared to die!!!:-D

would you maintain in the cobra family with a coupe? Are you sure you want to start all over again? You will be in the hole with money because it will cost you more to get a coupe, than what you could get for your modded vert. THINK about it...I say keep what you've got.

Get rid of the vert. You bought the wrong one to start with and this is you're chance to get out of it and start fresh.

Just my .02 cents worth.

Since I was a previous Vert owner I can get away with my tounge in cheek ribbing!!:p

if you fell like the money you get for it will be fair then well do it...

i would think if you did you would want to still stay in a 03/04 and or some other easly moded performance car... up to you

I am just looking at what he has done to his car that he would be giving up. It would be an easy 15K hit to get into a new coupe and put the same mods back on.

Very valid point...but...postan has proven that economics have very little influence on his decision making when it comes to performance.:burnout:

What's that phrase he coined? Something about knowledge and money?...LOL

I say ....ah... what does my opinion matter.... or anyone elses for that matter...it's your property....do as you please.

although if it were me.... I would have some fun for awhile, now is the time to reep the pleasures of all the hard work and effort you have put into your toy....

It's like putting a scope and a nice trigger job on a gun.... then selling it before you get to shoot it.....

BTW: I would NEVER SELL THAT CAR FOR LESS THEN $35,000... it's a turn key race car

if its a Vert or a Coupe.... its still going to need a cage

this might sound funny but it would take atlest 40k from someone to make me happy enough to sell my car

... like doug said its your call in the end

what would you do if you sold it... this is a motive taht is important when selling

"..at this stage the car is done....."

What will you gain by switching to a coupe?

What would you buy?

How much more time and money would it cost to mod another car?

How much less time to spend enjoying the car and less time with the family?

What will be available in late 2006?

Think about these questions and sleep on it. Good luck with your decision and let us know.
