IMRC Quick Question

I'm considering IMRC deletes. I know you can buy deletes like from MMR or epoxy or tig your own but what about just removing the butterfly plates and leaving everything else intact?? :shrug:
Would that work? That would sure be easy and cheap

from what I remember if you just remove the butterfly plates themselves there is nothing to hold the guide rod in anymore and it would fall out and or create a vacuum leak

Rather than doing that, just zip tie them open. But you will have to do the spring or relay thing to avoid a "IMRC stuck open" DTC. Here's a link to the relay thing: Under the Hood
