I have a 1997 Cobra with 116,xxx miles. This past weekend I tackled the job of cleaning the imrc plates and replacing the lower gaskets. Since I only had the lower set, I reused the upper set. However I did a smoke test yesterday and I am having leaks from those gaskets. Is there a torque spec for those bolts ( bolts going through intake to plates )? Has anyone used silicon and those gaskets or just the composite gaskets?

Did you torque the intake down to spec and use the correct pattern? This could cause a leak there. I tackled that leak forever.

Make sure you use loctite on the 2 center bolts. I didn't one time and had a major vacuum leak 3 weeks later after they worked their way out.
