I'm so stoked! My wife and I are flying out to Las Vegas friday morning to go to the NADA auto dealers convention for 6 days. We're staying at the Bellagio so i'm pretty excited about that. I didn't really get any tickets to any shows or anything but I get get tickets to UFC 67 which should be fun.

Anyone been to Vegas? What are the good clubs? casinos? shows? etc. what are some of the things i must do or places i must go?

im not a BIG vegas person but here are my recos.

the buffet at the Bellagio is awesome! though $30 a person...
at Harrahs, iirc, you can test drive any GM vehicle but didnt get the chance to really look into it.
havent seen it myself but Ceasars is supposed to have a cool exotic car display, or something like that. and the ONLY Koeniggsegg dealership in the country IN cesears.
you can basically ask anyone who is under 50 and works in vegas what are the hot clubs. i know rio is one and i think mandalay bay has one as well.
other than that, i dont what else to recommend. shows? the Cirque shows are great. Blue Man Group is supposed to be good. tons of comedy shows..

btw, what are you driving? all your cars say sold

as for clubs and shows, it depends on what your style is
Ghost Bar is awesome, but if you want a younger crowd i'd go to the club at the Hard Rock
i was there for my 21st with 8 friends and i had the time of my life....it was intense

Man, the Bellagio, very nice!

We stayed at the NY NY which is VERY kickass! The Bellagio has that kick ass water display(I think, at night) and for daily scenery, check out the shark exibit, next to NY NY @ Mandalay Bay, or inside the Venician.(very nice Catholic paintings etc) Also the Lions and Tigers they have in the MGM Grand. Keep in mind, you HAVE to check this out!! Inside The Wynn they have the Ferarri and Mazerati(spelling??) dealership and show, the cars in there are ALL exotic! Also outside the NY NY they have the rollercoaster and over at the Stratosphere you can go to the top and look ALL around the city at the mountains and go on the rides they have up top(scary for the weak!)
The night life there is amazing. The clubs are off the chain and they have topless shows all over the place.

Don't forget to gamble, and gamble, and gamble some more. My personal favorite is roulette, it's quick and you can quickly win some quick cash. Drink free and smoke cigars. (I recommend Padron 1926, keep that in mind! Or for a quick smoke, A Fuente Short Story)

There won't be a dull moment there, i'm only 21 and my first experience was one of my most favorite memories! I'll be there again in June.

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!

I'll repeat what others have said. Harrahs for the GM test drive (driving the C6 was a hoot) and cheap, Shelby Motors for a tour (free) and go see "Ka" at the MGM (I think) it was a total mind blow and worth every penny!!!

Hit the Harley Davidson Cafe near the MGM for lunch, check out the cool rides and have the macaroni and cheese. Seriously. It's worth the walk.

The Imperial has a HUGH car collection, and it's free to see. Just ask for passes at the front desk...

Check out the Hoover Dam, only about a 40 minute ride from the strip.

Shelby automobiles has a museum, they are next door to the Las Vegas Motor speedway.

Ferrari at the Wynn charges you $10 to get in, Exotic car collection at Casers Palace charges $5 to get in.

I like the buffets at Mirage and MGM..

Check out the view from the top of the Stratosphere at night. Incredible !!

Strip Clubs - Spearmint Rhino and CrazyHorse Too

Fountains of Bellagio are cool, best to see them at night, when they show every 15 minutes..

If you want to rent an exotic car, the best is Rent a Vette, over at the airport. They will pick you up from your hotel or deliver your car to you. They have the best exotics of all the places on the strip, from Vettes to Ferraris, Hummers to Audis..

Oh and Club Pure(Ceasers) is cool but $$$$ its cool to check out but thats about it....

Pure is a cool club, rated one of the top 3 in the world. If you wanna get in quick you get on a bouncers list which theres guys usually walking around the casino looking for people to sign up. When you go to the club that night you go up to one of the bouncers and find you're name on the list, give the bouncer $100, and you're in. You got to have girls though I dont think it works with just guys.

I've also heard that the Hard Rock is cool as well as the club at the top of Palms.

A lounge you absolutely have to check out is "Mix" at the very top of Mandalay Bay. Its got a sweet view of the entire city and is all in all a cool place to chill.

Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, and Ceasar's I think were the best places to be though. There's just so much to do there it would take you days to see it all.

Have fun though, Vegas is awesome!

I liked Vegas so much I bought a time share there, been many times and going again for a week in July. Anyway, all of the suggestions above are good, also make sure you check out Freemont street. This is where you'll find some of the older casinos.

The Wynn has a Ferrari dealership inside.

See George Wallace at the Flamingo...Very funny
See The Amazing Jonothan... I think he is at the Sahara....also very funny.
If circ shows are your thing, "O" is a great show, and I think has great views from anywhere in the theater.

Imortant: Go to the big Coke bottle near the MGM after 12:00 noon and you can pick up same day tickets for the comedy shows and others at half price.

If you really want to gamble, go down to Fremont street and play for cheaper down there. The buy-ins are lower....and the slots are looser down there as well.

if it is really dry and you are looking for relief....stand next to the Bellagio fountains or go to the Mirage.. They pump in more humidity into the recirc system than any other place on the strip.

For a cheap way to get hammered, stop by a Fat Tuesday stand for an overly spiked smoothie.. I think you get a half gallon of the flavor of your choice for 9 bucks. Keep the mug and get refills for half price.

The most expensive nad best steak I ever had was a Kobe beef steak at the place inthe MGM next door to the KA theater. The bill for my wife and I was over 230... It was worth it!.

I've been going to LV once every 6 months for the last four years or so. Looking to buy a house there..

Vegas FTW....That place just rocks. I don't really have anything that others haven't covered. I guess at the top of my list I'd say:

1) check out the top of the stratosphere at night (won't get a better view than that)

2) Go down to Fremont street. All the gambling is cheaper, the light show in the canopy over the street is really cool, there's usually some pretty good bands playin out in the street, and it's nice for a break from the strip

3) Water show at the Bellagio is a must (which obviously isn't hard for you)

4) ANY of the Cirque shows are just unreal. (expensive, but well well worth it)

5) Shark reef at Mandalay Bay

Other than that, I've always just enjoyed checkin out all the hotels (especially if it's your first time out there). Everything out there is just jaw dropping over the top and there's always interesting people out there. Have fun man....way jealous.

First I want to thank all of you for coming here and spending many many $$$ so i don't have to pay state income tax. If you are looking to gamble any station casino is good You will make much more money at these places than the strip casinos. Go to green valley ranch. Take I-215 East from the strip and exit on green valley and you will see it right off the freeway. Place also has some great food and bars as well. Or go to red rock in summerlin. Take I-215 west until you see it on the right hand side. Place is huge and expensive looking. Freemont is cool you get to see the older casinos and beer and gambling is cheaper down there. Stratosphere at night is cool and do all the rides, they are way fun. The roller coaster at the new york new york is pretty cool as well. Shark reef in the mandalay bay is also pretty entertaining. Maybe take your lady on a gondola ride at the venetian as well. Everyone knows about the gambling and drinking but the other stuff makes vegas that much better. Be prepared to drop some dough, this place is not cheap at all. Try to catch some shows as well. Blue man group at the venetian is pretty good and so are any of the cirque shows. I went to the cirque beatles show at the mirage a few months ago an dit was really cool.
