It IS a real GTO. It may not look like a '60s era GTO, but it most certainly can proudly wear the mantle. Granted the 2004 GTO was a bit plain and slightly underpowered, but GM took care of that with the 2005-2006 with the addition of the hood scoops, dual exhaust and additional 50hp. Note that a stock 2006 GTO would absolutely run away from any factory '64 - '74 GTO. So IMO is most certainly is the real deal, even though I know there are those who just don't see it that way.

I remember Larry's GTO very well. It was gorgeous. The color was awesome. Heck, I wouldn't mind owning this one myself. Love the mods. ;-)
