and i was wondering are the half-shafts differnt from the 03?

No All that is the same from what i have heard. Just seats and color are changes from a 03 and EEC code.

and btw anyone on here have the fr500 catback? i know someone who is selling one and i am thinking about getting it. should i get it or should i get something else?

Dont let them "detail" it, tell them not to touch it, I went through hell and back on my 04 black cobra trying to get their swirls and scratches out of the clear coat!!!!

Go with a good 2.93 or 2.80 pulley.
Go with the Superchip Programer from Apten with Brian's Tune.
Go with the Hurst shifter-it's perfect,forget the other names.

I have the FR500, but not installed yet. I had it along with a magnaflow catted X pipe on the '01 Cobra I just traded in. I kept the exhaust since it will bolt right on my '04. So I can't say how it does on the '04, but on my '01 the combo sounded awesome. It also sounded nice with just the catback. About as quiet as stock at idle & low RPM's & would open up at WOT. If you want a LOUD exhaust, the FR500 isn't it. I haven't been able to get a lot of feedback on this catback from other '03 &'04 owners, but that is what will go on my car.
