I ordered dust shields and got these ; what are they?

I am doing a massive conversion to the front braking system to my 07 GT500. I ordered this part x 2 , left and right side for a 13-14 GT500 it shows as a splash shield in the ford parts guide but got this.

They look like flip flops!

Pretty sure it's a heat shield to protect the ball joint.

Those are 2013/14 GT500 front dust brake dust shields. I used to have a pair, attached to my 2014 GT500 Perf Pack car. All they actually do is protect the ball joints from the heat coming from the brake rotors. But, they're legit OEM parts from that vehicle and MY.

CATMONKEY verified the same ..... supposedly thats all the 13-14 GT500's had

thanks everyone, now looking for torque specs.

Plan to assemble everything thursday. Rest of the parts come in Wed.

Luckily I have one scuffed front rim thats still on the car and have a replacement wheel (wheel only ) in the shed. Will use the wheel only to insure fitment since it will be easier to handle

My front rotor is frozen on the hub so that will be fun gettig off and to make things worse, my centering rings were so tight that I had to tap them off'
Plan to get longer bolts and use my caliper bracket holes and slowly turn the rotor to get both pieces off
