upon torrie's recommendation, i fabbed up a cai today.
he said an open air filter would allow the boost to be heard and it won' affect the tune.
so, i ripped off the stock airbox and pulled the iat sensor. i ended up reusing the rubber tubing and used it to pop the iat sensor into. i used a 3" bend from lowes plumbing dept for the mounting point.
it seemed to fit good, and the 3 1/2" k&n clamped on perfectly. I did end up adding a couple zip ties for now to hold it in place.
took her out for a spin and especially from the drivers seat. you can definately hear the boost!!!
probably gonna powdercoat or paint the tube black
i'll be hitting the track tonight and see what the tune picked up
