maybe not 100% true, since this was early marketing material.

There are already confirmed August build dates for MY2016 cars since the MY2015s will wrap up end of July

Dealer tells me our 2016 GT350R is scheduled to be built this week. Double checked and FMC sources tell me it's legit. That was fast.

Unlikely it gets let out soon though as they do the usual QC stuff at the beginning of production.

very strange it will be built before some 2015s. I guess they might be sharing the line or doing batches of 350Rs and regular 350s?

It's possible. A friend of mine got a 15 R allocation and I could have swore he told me it was being built the week of July 20th, but that may have changed since the last time we talked.

2016's will be built throughout the 2016MY. I talked with our Regional Rep about this yesterday as we have one on order already. As each region gets allocation it will be divvied out amongst the dealers.
