AP1 ftw! AP2 was made for the sissies that couldn't handle how violent the vtech hit. And "stooks" are getting really reasonable. The only thing is, if something breaks, its a grand to fix it. My bff had one as a dd and it fell apart around 100k. BUT, extremely fun car. I learned to drive stick on it.

a friend of mine has one and he let me take it for a test drive. It really is a fun car, taking it all the way to redline was crazy seeing it near 9k rpms. The only thing I did not like was when slamming through the gears about half way through 2nd it has this weird "death wobble". The whole car would shake and wobble for a split second...if you are not expecting it, it would scare the hell out of you!!

i would never be able to drive a honda miata. seems like a chick car to me. but to each his own.

I've driven a miata, no comparison. I finally have another vehicle I can drive to finish the body and paint work on the stang. And for anytime I feel less manly about my car choice I jump in the project.

lsx swap soon?

I've seen the videos, but that is just a pipe dream for now. I'm going to DD this thing and keep it close to stock. I've swapped the engine in and out of that Mustang 3 times now so I don't even want to think of doing it again right now!

So far it's been going on 3 years. The 2000 GT was a complete running car when I bought it. I drove it back from Florida and stripped everything out of it. I put EVERYTHING from the Mystichrome back into it. From headlight plug to taillight plug. All the weather seals and interior. I'm way too OCD I guess. Now that I have another mode of transportation I am swapping the IRS center section into the 8.8 I left in this and sliding some 31 spline axles in. I need some Mach 1 caliper brackets to mount my larger rotors. Then up next is body prep. I'm still trying to decide on paint and which body kit to put back on it. I have a complete Saleen kit including C pillars ready to go on it but now I'm toying with the idea of just throwing the Terminator panels back on and painting it black. Sell the interior for a couple of nice seats and rear delete. I'll be posting a thread as soon as the body work starts.

The S2000 is a great car. Sad that Honda stopped production of them in 2009. A couple of years ago I was thinking about buying a Miata (I've always loved them and they're fun to drive) and wanted to check out an S2000 but unfortunately they weren't available, and I really needed something a bit bigger. The Miata is a good buy, but IMO the S2000 is the better car of the two.

Awesome Mystichrome Brad. :)

Sounds like your buddy's car had something wrong then. I dont see how a light car that produces almost no torque and has IRS rear and a race-inspired suspension should have a death wobble unless something is wrong.

Dude you already drive a Dodge Ram. The only thing more pussified would be a Prius.
