Regardless of who has the actual ball, the ball that the girl has is the one worth money. Because now it's well documented that SHE has the actual ball. Howard probably does have the real ball, but he can't claim he does nor sell it as the real one.

+1 .. In this case both parties are happy. Even though Howard has the official ball both parties hold what they valued from it. Howard has his 200th home run record breaking ball. And the lady has a ball worth however much history prices it to be.

That's whats messed up about the courts. You can't get heard for 3 years because people are fighting over a stupid ball. These pro jocks are just good at hitting a ball, no big deal.
