Man, they suck!!! It's recommended to use one of those "impact screwdrivers". Ford uses thread sealer from the factory on them.
I learned the hard way. I stripped the screws, even with the perfect size screwdriver. I then tried grinding the plastic around the screw head, but there's a metal sleeve inside that keeps tension on the screw head, so it made no difference.
I said the hell with it and just bought a new TPS sensor from the parts store.
Just a suggestion for when you do get the screws out...
When I replaced my TPS I opted to not reuse the screws and instead went with a nice pair of allen head bolts. They have much more contact area and it makes removal and installation a breeze.
