If you cannot get them out, I suggest taking the TB off, and then getting the TPS off from a more convenient working position.

Most people do not think of this.

Man, they suck!!! It's recommended to use one of those "impact screwdrivers". Ford uses thread sealer from the factory on them.

I learned the hard way. I stripped the screws, even with the perfect size screwdriver. I then tried grinding the plastic around the screw head, but there's a metal sleeve inside that keeps tension on the screw head, so it made no difference.

I said the hell with it and just bought a new TPS sensor from the parts store.

oh. cool.

Did you get a new throttle body or something? Why did you take it off anyways?

You know, you can buy the screws from BBK for around 200 bucks, and the screws come with a twin 65MM throttle body for no extra charge!

Just a suggestion for when you do get the screws out...

When I replaced my TPS I opted to not reuse the screws and instead went with a nice pair of allen head bolts. They have much more contact area and it makes removal and installation a breeze.

Oh, if you already have a new one, then get some pliers, grab the srtipped screws sideways and rotate them off.

This is whay I did with mine the last time.

:D

..yeah, and get some regular socket type screws in their place.
